Seven MLS's Create the Largest MLS Data Share in Northern California

New Data Sharing Arrangement Expands Listing Information to 70,000 Agents in 21 Northern California Counties

The following press release was issued by Bay East on September 15, 2008

Pleasanton, California (September 15, 2008) – The three MLSs in the San Francisco East Bay Area today announced they are participating with major MLSs in Northern California in a program to exchange MLS data.

Low Cost Access to MLSListings

As many of you know, MLSListings (formerly known as REIL and CVAR) withdrew their participation in the MLS Alliance on June 30th. This means Bay East agents can’t access the MLSListings data without paying the full costs of joining their MLS. To help agents who need access to this MLS data, we have worked out an arrangement with MLSListings to enable agents to have low cost access.

You can join MLSListings as a limited access member for $49 through the end of the year. All initiation fees will be waived. This will enable you to search listings (active and off-market). Agents who wish to enter listings will still pay the MLSListings fee of $50 per listing. Click here for more information about the program.

Bay East REALTOR® Magazine Goes Online

In an effort to become more environmentally-friendly, more cost-efficient and more timely, Bay East is switching from a printed version of the Bay East REALTOR® Magazine to an online version. Beginning this October, our publication can be found exclusively on the Bay East website. The September 2008 issue will be the last printed version of this publication.
